Spanish Fort City is a United States city located in the Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. In 2000, city's population was 5423 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 5780, It is Alabama's 97th largest by population . Its area is just over 11.13 sq mi (28.83 kmē), of which, 6.42 square miles (16.63 kmē) of it is land and 4.7 square miles (12.17 kmē) of it is water, it is the 117th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Alabama.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5423 residents, 2035 households, and 1519 families in the city. The population density was 844.2 people per square mile (325.95/kmē), it is the 70th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alabama.
