Southport City is one of the city of Marion County, Indiana, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1852. Its population was estimated at 1757 in July 2008, It is the 222nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Indiana. Its area is just over 0.64 mi˛ (1.66 sq km), making it the 362nd largest by size in Indiana.
