Southport Cdp is a United States census designated place located in the Chemung County, New York, United States. As of 2000 the population was 7396. It is 249th most populous in New York. The census designated place encompasses an area of 6.74 mi˛ (17.46 square kilometre ), of which, 6.58 square miles (17.04 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 square kilometre) of it is water, making it New York's 112th largest by total area.
