Southeast Fairbanks Census Area is a United States census area located in the United States of Alaska. In 2000, census area's population was 6174 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 6753, making it Alaska's 14th largest census area. It has total area of 25061.19 sq mi (64908.18 sq km), of which, 24814.86 square miles (64270.19 sq km) of it is land and 246.33 square miles (637.99 sq km) of it is water, giving it the ninth largest by total area among Alaska's county.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6174 people, 2098 households, and 1506 families residing in the census area. The population density was 0.2 people per square mile (0.08/kmē), it is sixth least densely populated census area in Alaska. There were 3225 housing units at an average density of 0.1 per square mile (0.04/kmē). The average household size was 2.8 and the average family size was 3.34. In the census area the population is diverse age-wise, with 32.8% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 25.7% from 45 to 64, and 6.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 107.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.6 males. Its population was estimated at 6753 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the census area was 80.01% White, 2.86% Black or African American, 11.97% American Indian, 0.65% Asian, 0.15% Native Hawaiian, and 4.37% from two or more races.
