South Windham Cdp is a United States census designated place located in the Windham County, Connecticut, United States. As per the 2000 census, census designated place has a population of 1278 inhabitants. It is the 15th smallest in terms of population. The census designated place has a total area of 3.14 mi˛ (8.13 sq km), of which, 3.11 square miles (8.05 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, it is the 75th largest by area in the U.S. state of Connecticut.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1278 people, 517 households, and 350 families living in the census designated place. The population density was 411 people per square mile (158.69/km˛), it is the 12th least populated census designated place in terms of population density.
