South Salt Lake City is a city located in the Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. As of 2000 the population was 22038. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 21607, It is 26th most populous in Utah. Its area is just over 6.91 miē (17.9 kmē), it is the 105th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 22038 people in the city, organized into 8022 households, and 4592 families living in the city. The population density was 3190.8 people per square mile (1231.97/kmē), giving it the 19th most densely populated city among the Utah.
