South Lyon City is one of the city of Oakland County, Michigan, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. South Lyon City had an official population of 10036 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 10959, It is the 115th largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.39 mi˛ (8.78 square kilometre ), making it Michigan's 224th largest by total area.
