In 2000, the population was 3062. giving it the 151st largest population among Massachusetts. The census designated place encompasses an area of 4.44 miē (11.5 kmē ), of which, 2.98 square miles (7.72 kmē) of it is land and 1.46 square miles (3.78 kmē) of it is water, it is the 116th largest by area in the U.S. state of Massachusetts.
