South Daytona City is a city in the Volusia County, Florida, United States. It is home to over 13177 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 13662 in July 2008, giving it the 209th largest population among Florida. It has total area of 4.84 miē (12.54 kmē), of which, 3.56 square miles (9.22 kmē) of it is land and 1.28 square miles (3.32 kmē) of it is water, it is the 339th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
