South Burlington City, Vermont is a city of the Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. South Burlington City had an official population of 15814 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 17574, It is the third most populous in the U.S. state of Vermont. The city spans an area of 29.62 sq mi (76.72 square kilometre), of which, 16.64 square miles (43.1 square kilometre) of it is land and 12.98 square miles (33.62 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Vermont's largest by total area. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Vermont.
