Sonora City is a city in the Tuolumne County, California, United States. In 2000, city's population was 4423 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 4559, making it the 622nd most populous in California. The city has a total area of 3.04 square miles (7.87 kmē), making it California's 690th largest by total area.
