Soldotna City is a one of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 3759 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 4386, It is 24th most populous in Alaska. The city spans an area of 7.41 square miles (19.19 sq km), of which, 6.94 square miles (17.97 sq km) of it is land and 0.47 square miles (1.22 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 88th smallest by total area among Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3759 people in the city, organized into 1465 households, and 970 families residing in the city. The population density was 541.9 people per square mile (209.23/kmē), it is the 14th most populated city in terms of population density. There were 1670 housing units at an average density of 240.6 per square mile (92.9/kmē). The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.13.
