Snyder County is a United States county located in the United States of Pennsylvania. The county has a population of 37546 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 38074, It is 11th least populous county in Pennsylvania. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 332.16 sq mi (860.29 square kilometre), of which, 331.2 square miles (857.8 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.95 square miles (2.46 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the fifth smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.1 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 38074, The racial makeup of the county was 97.67% White, 1.11% Black or African American, 0.06% American Indian, 0.63% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 0.52% from two or more races.
