Smithville Town is a United States town located in the Monroe County, Mississippi, United States. In 2000, the population was 882. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 868, giving it the 192nd largest population among Mississippi. Its area is just over 1.6 mi˛ (4.14 square kilometre), of which, 1.46 square miles (3.78 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 204th largest by total area among Mississippi.
