Smithsburg Town is a town located in Washington County, Maryland, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 2146 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2908, It is the 234th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 0.91 sq mi (2.36 kmē), makes it the 92nd smallest by total area in Maryland.
