Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 154997, It is South Dakota's largest by population . It has total area of 56.34 square miles (145.92 kmē), of which, 56.32 square miles (145.87 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, making it the largest by size in South Dakota.
