Sioux County is a county in the United States of North Dakota. As of 2000 the population was 4044. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 4232, making it North Dakota's 25th largest county. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1128.3 sq mi (2922.28 square kilometre), of which, 1094.12 square miles (2833.76 square kilometre) of it is land and 34.18 square miles (88.53 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 33rd largest by total area in North Dakota.

For every 100 females there were 104.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.7 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 4232, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 760 White, 14 Black or African American, 3396 American Indian, 3 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, and 57 from two or more races.
