According to the 2000 census it had a population of 6690 inhabitants. It is the 355th largest in terms of population. The census designated place has a total area of 4.83 square miles (12.51 square kilometre), of which, 4.77 square miles (12.35 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 341st largest by size in Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6690 residents, 2846 households, and 1887 families in the census designated place.
