Sikeston City is a one of the Scott and New Madrid counties, Missouri, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Sikeston City had an official population of 16992 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 17053, making it the 39th most populous in Missouri. The city comprises an area of 18.1 sq mi (46.88 kmē), of which, 17.93 square miles (46.44 kmē) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 kmē) of it is water, it is the 22nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.
