Sierra Vista City is a city located in Cochise County, Arizona, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 37775 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 43320, making it the 16th most populous in Arizona. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 153.49 sq mi (397.54 sq km), of which, 153.46 square miles (397.46 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, making it the sixth largest by size in Arizona.

As of the census of 2000, there were 37775 people, 14196 households, and 9997 families residing in the city. The population density was 246.1 people per square mile (95.02/kmē), making its Arizona's 132nd most densely populated city.
