Sherman Village is a one of the Sangamon County, Illinois, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2871 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 3827, giving it the 429th largest population among Illinois. The city comprises an area of 3.13 sq mi (8.11 sq km), of which, 3.08 square miles (7.98 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, it is the 331st largest in terms of geographical size.
