Sheldon City is a city located in OBrien and Sioux counties, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 4914 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4757, making it the 78th most populous in Iowa. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.39 mi˛ (11.37 square kilometre ), making it the 82nd largest by size in Iowa.
