Shawano County, Wisconsin is a county of the United States of Wisconsin. The population of the county was 40664 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 40972, giving it the 36th largest population among Wisconsin's county. Its area is just over 909.33 square miles (2355.15 square kilometre), of which, 892.51 square miles (2311.59 square kilometre) of it is land and 16.82 square miles (43.56 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 27th largest in terms of geographical size.
