Shaw City is a city in the Bolivar and Sunflower counties, Mississippi, United States. In 2000, the population was 2312. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2135, giving it the 111th largest population among Mississippi. The city has a total area of 1.11 miē (2.87 kmē), it is the 90th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2312 people, 753 households, and 573 families living in the city. The population density was 2082.8 people per square mile (804.17/kmē), it is Mississippi's 12th most densely populated city.
