Sharptown Town is one of the town of Wicomico County, Maryland, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of town in 2000 stood at 649 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 620, It is Maryland's 70th smallest by population . The town comprises an area of 0.46 mi˛ (1.19 square kilometre), of which, 0.41 square miles (1.06 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Maryland's 55th smallest by total area.

The population density was 1581.2 people per square mile (610.5/km˛), it is 205th most densely populated town in Maryland.
