Sharpsville Borough is a borough located in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of borough in 2000 stood at 4500 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 4100, It is the 317th largest in terms of population. It is spread over 1.41 sq mi (3.65 square kilometre), of which, 1.39 square miles (3.6 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 559th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4500 residents, 1912 households, and 1263 families in the borough. The population density was 3244.3 people per square mile (1252.63/kmē), making its Pennsylvania's 350th most densely populated borough. The racial makeup of the borough was 96.2% White, 2.31% Black or African American, 0.13% American Indian, 0.4% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.67% from two or more races and 0.29% Other races.
