Shannon Town is a town located in Lee County, Mississippi, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. It is home to over 1657 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1761, making it the 144th most populous in Mississippi. The town comprises an area of 4.11 mi˛ (10.64 square kilometre), making it the 124th largest by size in Mississippi.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1657 people in the town, organized into 632 households, and 438 families living in the town.
