Shakopee City is a one of the Scott County, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 20568 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 33455 in July 2008, It is the 43rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city comprises an area of 28.45 miē (73.69 kmē), of which, 27 square miles (69.93 kmē) of it is land and 1.45 square miles (3.76 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 45th largest by total area in Minnesota.
