Sesser City is a one of the Franklin County, Illinois, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 2128 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2121, It is the 488th most populous in the U.S. state of Illinois. Its area is just over 1.02 sq mi (2.64 square kilometre), it is the 721st largest in terms of geographical size.
