The census designated place has a population of 1102 as per the 2000 census data. It is ninth least populous in Maine. Its area is just over 5.53 mi˛ (14.32 sq km), of which, 4.38 square miles (11.34 sq km) of it is land and 1.15 square miles (2.98 sq km) of it is water, it is the 55th largest in terms of geographical size.
