Scott County is a county located in Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 89498 as per the Census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 128937, giving it the ninth largest population among Minnesota's county. The county spans an area of 368.56 sq mi (954.57 kmē), of which, 356.68 square miles (923.8 kmē) of it is land and 11.88 square miles (30.77 kmē) of it is water, giving it the second smallest by total area among Minnesota's county.

In the county the population was spread out, with 31.2% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 37.3% from 25 to 44, 18.6% from 45 to 64, and 6.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 101.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 128937, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 90.04% White, 2.44% Black or African American, 0.77% American Indian, 5.23% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, and 1.45% from two or more races.
