Savage City is a city located in Scott County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Savage City had an official population of 21115 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 27692 in July 2008, It is the 40th most populous in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is spread over 16.52 mi˛ (42.79 sq km), of which, 15.91 square miles (41.21 sq km ) of it is land and 0.61 square miles (1.58 sq km) of it is water, making it the 70th largest by size in Minnesota.

The population density was 1326.9 people per square mile (512.32/km˛), it is the 180th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
