Sargent City is one of the city of Custer County, Nebraska, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 649. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 580, making it the 172nd most populous in Nebraska. Its area is just over 0.89 mi˛ (2.31 square kilometre), giving it the 106th largest by total area among Nebraska.
