Sanford City is a city in the Seminole County, Florida, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Sanford City is home to 38291 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 50634, It is the 65th most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 22.6 miē (58.53 kmē), of which, 19.11 square miles (49.49 kmē) of it is land and 3.49 square miles (9.04 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 74th largest by total area among Florida.
