Sandoval County is a county located in New Mexico, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. It is home to over 89908 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 122298, It is fifth most populous county in New Mexico. The county encompasses an area of 3714.32 mi˛ (9620.04 square kilometre ), of which, 3709.34 square miles (9607.15 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.98 square miles (12.9 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 18th largest in terms of geographical size.

Its population was estimated at 122298 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 80.13% White, 2.94% Black or African American, 13.54% American Indian, 1.45% Asian, 0.12% Native Hawaiian, and 1.82% from two or more races.
