Sanders County is a county in the United States of Montana. It is home to over 10227 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 11034, making it Montana's 18th largest county. The county extends throughout a territory of 2790.03 square miles (7226.14 sq km ), of which, 2762.17 square miles (7153.99 sq km) of it is land and 27.86 square miles (72.16 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 20th largest by total area in Montana.

As of July 2008, the estimated population was 11034, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 92.31% White, 0.18% Black or African American, 4.79% American Indian, 0.43% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 2.28% from two or more races.
