Sand Rock Town, Cherokee and DeKalb counties, Alabama is a town located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. Sand Rock Town had an official population of 509 in 2000. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 521, It is the 133rd least populous in the U.S. state of Alabama. The town spans an area of 4.53 mi˛ (11.73 square kilometre), it is the 261st largest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 112.4 people per square mile (43.4/km˛), it is the 67th least populated town in terms of population density.
