Sand Point City is a city located in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. Sand Point City had an official population of 952 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 990, It is the 59th most populous in the U.S. state of Alaska. The city has a total area of 28.94 mi˛ (74.95 sq km), of which, 7.8 square miles (20.2 sq km) of it is land and 21.14 square miles (54.75 sq km) of it is water, making it the 162nd largest by size in Alaska. It is ranks 20 in the size of its inland waterways in Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 952 people, 229 households, and 156 families residing in the city. The population density was 122.1 people per square mile (47.14/km˛), it is Alaska's 56th most densely populated city. There were 282 housing units at an average density of 36.2 per square mile (13.98/km˛). The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 3.17. In the city the population was spread out, with 20.4% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 41.5% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 3.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 60.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 55 females. The median age is 36.5 years, the median age of male residents at 37.1 and the median age of female residents at 35.8. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 264 White, 14 Black or African American, 403 American Indian, 221 Asian, 3 Native Hawaiian, 26 from two or more races and 21 Ohter races.
