San Bernardino County is one of the 58 county of California, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The population of the county was 1709434 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2015355, It is the fifth largest in terms of population. The county encompasses an area of 20105.32 square miles (52072.54 square kilometre ), of which, 20052.5 square miles (51935.74 square kilometre) of it is land and 52.82 square miles (136.8 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the largest by total area among California's county.

In the county Population was distributed with 32.3% under the age of 18, 10.3% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 99.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.2 males.
