San Benito City is one of the city of Cameron County, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 23444 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 25072 in July 2008, It is the 105th largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. It has total area of 11.21 mi˛ (29.03 square kilometre), of which, 11.01 square miles (28.52 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 208th largest by total area among Texas.
