Sallisaw City, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma is a city located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 7989. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 8742, It is the 48th largest in terms of population. The city spans an area of 12.88 square miles (33.36 sq km), of which, 12.7 square miles (32.89 sq km) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 sq km) of it is water, it is the 85th largest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.
