Salisbury City is a city located in Rowan County, North Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 26462 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 28972, It is 23rd most populous in North Carolina. It covers total area of 17.78 miē (46.05 kmē), it is the 37th largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
