Salida City is a one of the Chaffee County, Colorado, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 5504 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 5396, making it Colorado's 85th largest. The city has a total area of 2.22 mi˛ (5.75 square kilometre), it is the 158th largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.
