In July 2008, its estimated population was 153435, It is the third largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 46.37 mi˛ (120.1 sq km), of which, 45.73 square miles (118.44 sq km) of it is land and 0.63 square miles (1.63 sq km) of it is water, makes it the second largest by total area in Oregon. It is ranks 15 in the size of its inland waterways in Oregon.
