Saginaw County is a one of the county from Michigan's 83 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 210039 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 200745, giving it the tenth largest population among Michigan's county. The county has a total area of 815.78 square miles (2112.86 square kilometre), of which, 808.93 square miles (2095.12 square kilometre) of it is land and 6.85 square miles (17.74 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 39th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.

The population density was 259.6 people per square mile (100.23/kmē), it is the 14th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Michigan. There were 85505 housing units at an average density of 105.7 per square mile (40.81/kmē). The average household size was 2.54 people, and the average family size was 3.06 people. In the Saginaw County, 26.6% of the population was under the age of 18, 9% were 18 to 24, 27.6% were 25 to 44, 23.2% were 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 or older.
