Safety Harbor City is a city located in Pinellas County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Safety Harbor City is home to 17203 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 17089, making it Florida's 163rd largest. The city encompasses an area of 5.05 mi˛ (13.08 sq km ), of which, 4.92 square miles (12.74 sq km) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 sq km) of it is water, making it the 326th largest by size in Florida.
