Saddle River Borough, Bergen County, New Jersey is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3201 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3793, It is the 155th smallest by population in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It has total area of 4.98 square miles (12.9 kmē), makes it the 113th largest by total area in New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3201 people in the borough, organized into 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 642.6 people per square mile (248.11/kmē), it is the 49th least densely populated borough in the U.S. state of New Jersey. There were 1183 housing units at an average density of 237.6 per square mile (91.74/kmē). The average household size was 2.77 people, and the average family size was 3.05 people. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 22.5% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 19.5% from 25 to 44, 32.9% from 45 to 64, and 20.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93 males. The median age was 46.9 years, the median age of male residents at 46.5 and the median age of female residents at 47.4. The racial makeup of the borough was 2876 White, 24 Black or African American, American Indian, 229 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 45 from two or more races and 26 Ohter races.
