Sabine Parish is a parish located in Louisiana, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Sabine Parish is home to 23459 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 23688, making it the 38th most populous parish in Louisiana. The parish has a total area of 1011.51 sq mi (2619.8 kmē), of which, 865.27 square miles (2241.04 kmē) of it is land and 146.25 square miles (378.79 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 15th largest by total area among Louisiana's parish.

The population density was 27.1 people per square mile (10.46/kmē), it would be the 15th least densely populated parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. There were 13671 housing units at an average density of 15.8 per square mile (6.1/kmē). The average household size was 2.5 persons, and the average family size was 3 persons. In the parish the population was spread out, with 26.2% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 104.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 108 females. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 23688, The racial or ethnic makeup of the parish was 17108 White, 4004 Black or African American, 1938 American Indian, 57 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, and 576 from two or more races.
