Ruston City is a United States city located in the Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, United States. The city has a population of 20546 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 21123, making it the 20th most populous in Louisiana. The city comprises an area of 18.16 square miles (47.03 square kilometre), of which, 18.08 square miles (46.83 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 25th largest by area in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
