Russellville City is a city located in the Franklin County, Alabama, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 8971 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 8918, making it the 63rd most populous in Alabama. The city spans an area of 13.35 sq mi (34.58 kmē), of which, 13.23 square miles (34.27 kmē) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 kmē) of it is water, making it the 93rd largest by size in Alabama.
